I can only describe my experience with Jake as transformative. He took a middle-aged, gym-avoiding exercise hater and turned me into a strong, healthy, exercise-loving person. Jake achieved this transformation through a combination of exceptional personal training knowledge and skills, along with an unwavering personal commitment.
Every session felt like a team effort—he genuinely cared about my success. He had a unique ability to meet me where I was each day, pushing me when I needed it and encouraging me when I wasn’t feeling up to it.
He faced a tough challenge: I gave him the goal of getting me “Michelle Obama arms”—not exactly the most clearly defined objective—but he embraced it wholeheartedly. He brought a wide range of creative and effective ideas to our sessions: weights, boxing, rowing, timed HIIT training. It was never boring. And while I can’t say I loved every session (there may have been some swearing), I left each one smiling, knowing I had worked my butt off, thanks to Jake’s guidance and encouragement.
Did I get my toned arms? Yes, I did—and so much more.
